ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have your loads loaded individually. If there is a "cook off" for what ever reason, you have a bomb in your hand. Also, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER EVER pour in your powder right out of the horn or flask. If, for some unexplained reason the paper is not all consumed by the shot, and there is a glowing ember in the bore, and you pour in the next powder load.well, let's just say I've seen the results and they ain't pretty. It's BAD JUJU to put the paper down the bore. 018" patch is about as good as you're going to get. It's not uncommon for me to shoot 20-30 rounds in it without cleaning. Case in point, my rifle-musket doesn't shoot well until it has a half-dozen fouling rounds down range with no cleaning. Also, these rifles/muskets do not need to be cleaned between each shot, in fact it not recommended. I can get off 3 aimed shots a minute and if I do my part, it'll hit a 1 gallon milk jug at 100 yards all day long. 58 caliber 1863 contract rifle-musket in competition. It was dead on at 50 yards with 40 grains of 2f, and 55 grains at 100 yards. If you want a lighter bullet, try the Lyman #575494 (350 gr bullet). 002" smaller than bore size for loading to allow for the fouling build up. That being said, they were designed to use the Minnie Balls, conical, hollow-based bullets, not round balls. You'll have much better accuracy if you use the proper bullet in your Enfield.
